KDX / KLX 250 / KLX 300 / KLX 650R / KMX

When fitting to bikes such as these, there is no battery for the clock.

Using the ACE-BAT9V option a 9v PP3 battery is used to power the clock when the bike is not running.

It's important to ensure that the bike produces DC electricity - AC will damage the Acewell (it could take a few weeks of use) and void the warranty.

  • Connect the red wire to the headlight switch power supply
  • Connect the black wire to the negative supply to the headlight
  • Connect the yellow wire to the coil or wrap around the spark plug lead
  • Choose either ACE-S2 or ACE-S6 as speedo sensor.
    • ACE-S2 is recommended if your speedo cable is in good condition as the armouring of the original cable is better for off road machines.
    • In the picture the ACE-S2 is fitted, and piece of garden hose is used to cover the moving part of the sensor that is unused. If required, this could be connected to the original trip meter on the KLX
  • If fitting ACE-3250, cut the radiator hose and insert a water tube for the temperature sensor to obtain water temperature and set the fuel gauge to off as there is no sender on these bikes.
